Hiring with Status S

Hiring is simpler than you might think

Employers do not need to apply for a separate cantonal work authorisation to hire Ukrainians with protection status S. Employment simply needs to be reported before the person starts work. The notification can be submitted online through EasyGov.

✅

No cantonal approval

Status S holders are entitled to work throughout Switzerland. Once the required notification has been submitted before employment begins, there is no separate cantonal authorisation process to wait for.
